What we need is some sort of hall where we can hold concerts by bands. I know we have some places they could play, but we need something like the Salisbury Arts Centre that can host that sort of thing. I know there are plenty of young bands willing to play, and plenty of people willing to listen but they can't keep playing in pubs.

I thought The Lights was for National things like small plays doing the rounds and bands travelling around the Country not for (want of a better expression) smaller local projects. I've never been to The Lights how many seats does it have? Can it accomodate a large number? |

Not been there but they tend to showcase a lot of cover bands at Lights that also do the pub/club circuit. Tend to see the same sort of shows in places like the Central Club or Wolversdene as well

The new brochure is out soon for The Lights. Put your name on the mailing list. I work there so I am biased. But I,ve looked after, Phill Jupitus, Barry Cryer, Steve & Hugh, to name but a few. We had Johnny Walker the other month. I am not talking whisky. Ballets, plays, Vagina Monologes, Eric Knowles is commong. So come along for a good night out.

O, I'ts only me again. We have 240 seats in the auditorium. We can have up to 400 in the areana. We have a bar and prices are reasonable. There are local amutar dramatics as well as national touring troups. The Elvis on the telly was here last year. This is the impersonater, not the dead one.
